For over 29 years, Dr. Toni Davies has helped leaders who are committed to developing people as their first responsibility—and their primary improvement strategy—in creating highly successful workplaces. Drawing on her experience working with executives in both service and production environments, Dr. Davies guides authentic and sustainable deployments of Lean and continuous improvement practices based on the unique current and historical data collected within each organization. In her role as sensei (or coach), Dr. Davies focuses each leader to build—and leave as a legacy—an organization devoted to the respect and betterment of people at every level, and one that embodies the positive, peaceful, and productive values of Kaizen.
Toni Davies brings her unique experience developing Lean worldwide, including Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America. She has served three premier international consulting groups—Productivity Consulting Group, Kaizen Institute, and Honsha, where she continues to provide sensei, consulting, and training towards Lean transformation within an unwavering environment of respect for people. Having led Kaizen Study Tours in Japan and Europe for executives from North America, Europe and Asia, Dr. Davies has an exceptional view of the changes in the improvement industry over time.
Toni feels fortunate to have learned by working side by side with inspirational early leaders, including Shigeo Shingo (Zero Quality Control & SMED), Bunji Tozawa (Kaizen Teian Systems), Ryuji Fukuda (Policy Deployment, Cedac), Shigehiro Nakamura (Standardization), Masaaki Imai (Kaizen Institute) and her graduate work with Dr. Peter Drucker (Leadership, Management).
Humanitarian development is a top priority. In 2014 Dr. Davies led the Lean effort for World Vision in Ethiopia through Honsha, and also served on the US National Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (2009-10). She is currently on the Boards of Directors for International Relief Teams, which provides disaster, medical and humanitarian relief worldwide, and for Compassionate Breast, a new nonprofit for Breast Cancer Services. Toni Davies holds a joint Ph.D. from San Diego State University and Claremont Graduate School. https://daviesconsultinginc.com/
